Department Details: -

The department of General Surgery in AIIMS Bathinda started in 2019 with single faculty member. Now there are four faculty members along with nursing and paramedical staff. The aim of the department is to serve the patients by providing excellent diagnostic and therapeutic services for the surgical diseases. The objectives of the department are to provide quality medical education to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students to meet the country’s need for highly qualified doctors and medical teachers.
Clinical Services:- The department is providing outdoor service and operative services for basic surgical procedures.
OPD schedule:- Mon, Tue, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat (D-block, 2nd floor)
Diagnostic services:- Proctoscopy, Radiological imaging
Courses offered:- The department is teaching MBBS course since 2019. The department is planning to start Masters in surgery and fellowship programs.
Major Equipment available:- Basic open surgical equipment including electrosurgical unit.
