Paediatric Surgery

Vision: The treatment to most of the congenital anomalies and diseases in the children is evolving, with evidence, research and the modernization of resources and we believe that it is crucial to ensure that all children, regardless of their circumstances, have access to the best possible care and treatment. Collaboration with other disciplines is key in ensuring comprehensive care for pediatric patients. By working together and learning from each other, we can develop more effective and holistic treatment approaches for both common and rare pediatric cases.Creating a Center of Excellence in Pediatric Surgery not only provides hope for the children in this region of Punjab but also sets a standard for excellence in pediatric care that can have ripple effects beyond the immediate community.
Mission:The Department of Paediatric Surgery excels in the diagnosis and management of diseases in children from neonates to adolescents in a child-friendly and caring environment at AIIMS, Bathinda and is striving hard to provide the best surgical care at affordable costs. Patients from all over the Punjab and also adjacent states (i.e., Haryana and Rajasthan) are presently getting treated. Our mission is to provide the highest quality pediatric patient care, innovative medical research and excellent training to the junior surgeons
