Expansion planned for the future:

The Department of Dentistry aims to strengthen its clinical, academic, and research capabilities through a focused phase of expansion and modernization. Plans include the expansion of OPD services and procedural units to improve patient access, reduce waiting time, and support a wider range of specialized dental treatments. The department also envisions developing a Centre of Excellence in dental research, encouraging innovation, publication and evidence-based clinical practice. Greater multispecialty collaboration will be promoted to advance digital dentistry and improve comprehensive patient care. A major priority will be the digitisation of patient records, diagnostics, and treatment planning systems for better accuracy, continuity, and efficiency. The department also plans to introduce advanced technologies such as intraoral scanners, 3D printing, and surgical microscopes, enabling more precise diagnosis, minimally invasive procedures, improved prosthetic workflows, and enhanced treatment outcomes for patients.
